Ambivalence to Altrusim

noun   altruism the belief in or practice of disinterested and selfless concern for the well-being of others. behavior of an animal that benefits another at its own expense.  Ah... To give or not to give. Seemingly a very straightforward question, however are its implications deep. Behaviorally though, it remains a highly ambiguous topic. The generosity and care of people are extremely contextual emotions. Humans as an inherent ability have amassed the general rule and courtesy to care for their fellow man. However, since childhood, it has been seen that children are highly competitive which is redolent of the struggle and strife found in nature. The question here arises is as to what sculpts our way of thinking that we are part of a larger community and consciousness. However, that, opens up a whole new can of worms. Delving into a more inscrutable nature of mankind is a much disturbing and confounding dissemination. All animals have an extremely competitive nature. T
